Over my 20 years spent studying (MBA INSEAD) and working in leadership positions for first-class corporations like Philip Morris and British American Tobacco (BAT), I have had the opportunity to learn about developing responsible businesses in a number of emerging markets including Myanmar, where I started up BAT in 1993.

As a field operator, I have always enjoyed getting involved on the ground - where business happens. Over the years, I have developed a responsible yet pragmatic approach to business focused on delivering results.

In 2006, I felt that the time had come to share my knowledge about Myanmar. This is why I founded West Indochina with a core group of professionals sharing the same values, a strong liking for the Myanmar people and a passion or building and growing businesses.
